Andrew H. Tripp
President, Chief Technical Officer and Founder

Mr. Tripp founded Jazillian Inc. in 2002 and serves as its President and Chief Technical Officer. He is responsible for guiding the development the solution that translates legacy source code (COBOL, C & C++) to “natural” Java source code. This powerful tool generates “natural” Java code that is easily readable, highly maintainable and customizable. The product has been a proven problem solver for Fortune 500 companies and public sector organizations for use with large enterprise-type applications.

Mr. Tripp brings 20 years of experience in architecture and development, having built his skill set at leading corporations such as Tellium, Bell Labs and Lucent Technologies. An early Java innovator, Mr. Tripp became interested in translation once he saw the market need for a solution to eliminate the time-consuming and repetitive process of manually rewriting legacy code. He began his career as a software developer and over the years has become an expert in Java, C++, C, HTML, UNIX shell and awk. He is also fluent in Javascript, XML, Perl, TCL/TK, Pascal and Lisp.

Mr. Tripp is a frequent contributor to online magazines and has published several widely read articles including “I Fixed the JDK!” on Javalobby and “Why I don't Use StringTemplate” on ANTLR. He is often invited to be a speaker at conferences such as JavaOne.

Mr. Tripp earned an MS in computer science from Stevens Institute of Technology and a BS in computer Science from the University of Delaware. He is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery and the Association of Shareware Professionals.

Steven D. Ghareeb
Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Mr. Ghareeb leads business development, manages the sales team, and sets the marketing strategy for Jazillian, Inc. Prior to joining Jazillian, he was a serial entrepreneur and worked for eight years with successful technology start-ups in Silicon Valley and Chicago.

Previously, Mr. Ghareeb sold and delivered technology and telecommunications products and services for Fortune 100 companies such as GE, Cisco Systems and SBC. His strength is finding and growing new market opportunities, ultimately generating significant new revenue. He has developed new revenue programs for clients including Bloomberg Financial, AOL, Accenture, Verizon, Bell South and Motorola. At SBC, Mr. Ghareeb became the top revenue generating sales executive on a team of 650 by optimizing the sales and delivery process for his clients in the high growth data networking marketplace.

Mr. Ghareeb earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS in industrial engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
